Dig into TLR #3 for:
Our team is dedicated to making this zine an accessible and fun educational resource. Expect not just thoughtful essays, but also ‘breathers’ for you to process and appreciate our zine: playlists, colouring pages, and more! This zine is also colour-coded, so you know off the bat how heavy a particular piece can get- and you can flip to a section that’s slightly easier to deal with. The front section will contain contain more mental health-related issues, while the back section speaks to broader feminist issues.

The Local Rebel is an intersectional feminist collective. Our mission: to educate and empower the local youth, because we believe that change starts with us.
We started TLR in 2015 as a platform to provide a voice for those who didn't see themselves in the Singaporean Story. 5 years on, we've found so much value in making activism accessible. Our zines explore intersectional feminism within a Singaporean context, with a different focus per issue.
The Local Rebel published its last zine (#3: Self) in 2020. Our first two zines (#1: Exploration, #2: Roots) are out of stock. Each issue will only have one print run.
